CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS
Base - 100x50mm sawn tanalith ‘E’ treated Redwood.
Posts - FSC 150mm / 6ins diameter, tanalith ‘E’ treated, free of heart, quarter sawn, Douglas Fir.
(Savannah & Oasis use 120mm / 5ins diameter posts)
ROOFING
TIMBER ROOF
Timber framework lined with 6mm Marine plywood.
Roof underslating and 8mm Sturdy ropes.
METAL ROOF
Rounded coated metal framework.
TIMBER & METAL ROOFS
Prefabricated thatch tiles measuring 800x450mm approximately 20mm thick.
The Thatchbor treated roof tiles achieved a BS476: Part 7 Class 2 Y standard for the fire retardancy as well as providing fungicide and preservative qualities. The BS476 report is available if required.
A minimum of 70% of all other woods used are selected European FSC grade Redwoods, which are purchased from recognised forestry companies who exceed all necessary replanting requirements.
TREATMENT
All the base timbers in the building are pressure treated with tanalith ‘E’ preservative.
The exterior quality membrane board is ‘Marine’ quality - as used by boatbuilders.
Prior to installation all timber elements of the building including the table and chairs, are as a standard ‘double soak’ treated in Cuprinol ‘Golden Brown’ Wood Treatment Preservative to ensure maximum weather protection.
GUARANTEE
A ten year guarantee against wood decay.
Guarantee Exclusions - In the event of damage caused by exceptional weather conditions. Minor splitting and cracking. Movement and shrinkage of principle framework. Damage due to alteration in design or use of the structure beyond its original design and manufacture. Neglect of basic recommended maintenance.

Breeze House Base Requirements

A concrete slab is required for your Breeze House to stand on. It should be diameter as shown in the diagrams below and filled to a depth of at least 100mm. Please advise us when your base is complete and we will then organise installation at a mutually convenient date and time.

THATCHED UMBRELLA AND TABLE KITS
CONSTRUCTION & MATERIAL

TABLE AND SEATING
Manufactured from robust tanalised and oiled Spruce (Picea abea, lat)
45mm thickness of timber on the table top and seats.
Tanalised with Wolmanit CX-10.
Oiled with Larco Super SECU Wood Oil Type 30
The oil contains lightfast pigments, fungicide and special water-repellent waxes.

STEEL FRAMEWORK SPECIFICATIONS
The roof framework and metal pole are of high quality steel welded together and galvanised or powder coated to withstand coastal conditions.

THATCH SPECIFICATIONS
Prefabricated thatch tiles measuring 800mm x 450mm approximately 20mm thick.
The Thatchbor treated roof tiles achieved a BS476:Part 7 Class 2Y standard for fire retardancy as well as providing fungicide and preservative qualities.
The South African Cape Reed used for the tiles is harvested from replenishable renewable resources and harvesting actually promotes growth.

INSTALLATION
All of the Thatch umbrella and table kits are delivered in kit form and are easy to install, no special tools are required or alternatively can be installed by our own trained fitters.

GUARANTEE
• A ten year guarantee against wood decay.
• Guarantee Exclusions - In the event of damage caused by exceptional weather conditions. Minor splitting and cracking. Movement and shrinkage of principle framework. Damage due to alteration in design or use of the structure beyond its original design and manufacture. Neglect of basic recommended maintenance.

CAPE REED THATCH TILE

SPECIFICATIONS
Each standard tile measures 800mm wide x 450mm high x 20mm thick and weighs 3.65kg
Each standard or heavy tile will cover 0.28 square metres
To calculate the amount of tiles needed divide the roof area by 0.28
Fire Retardant
The Thatchbor treated thatch tile achieved a BS476: Part 7 Class 2Y standard for fire retardancy as well as providing fungicide and preservative qualities.

MATERIALS
The binding strip is flexible allowing the tiles to bend and confirm
to unusual undulating roof lines.
The binding strip consists of a 2 part polyurethane mixture reinforced with a nylon woven mesh.
South Africa Cape Reed known as Dekriot (Thamnochortus family of reeds).
The SouthAfrican Cape Reed is harvested from a replenishable renewable resource and harvesting actually promotes growth.

FIBRE THATCH TILE

SPECIFICATIONS
Each tile measures 800mm x 450mm and weighs 1.5K
Each standard tile will cover 0.2 metres
To calculate the amount of tiles needed divide the roof area by 0.2

FIRE RETARDANT
In the UK the Fibre Thatch ® tile achieved a BS476 Part 7 Class 1Y standard for fire retardancy and a European DIN4102 Part 7 standard.

MATERIALS
The polyurethane-binding strip is used to glue the simulated thatch strands into the tile. The binding strip is flexible allowing
the tiles to bend and conform to unusual and undulating rooflines. Fibre Thatch® is a simulated thatch manufactured from UPVC polymer.
Containers stabilizers and lubricants designed for outdoor use. Contains antioxidants, fire retardants and inorganic chrome type pigments.
Tensile impact strength tested to 152KJ/m-AsTM D1822
Vicat softening tested to (5kg) 83C/ASTM D1525.
